    I'm an electrician and been using this for a couple of months now, I was surprised how powerful it is, it's just right for me to clear up after fitting lights sockets etc. And it's small enough to be easily carried around. I've got the big Bosch class M dust ectractor and all the accessories fit the 18v one. All my tools are Bosch so I already have the 18v platform. Wouldn't be without it now.

      Same here. I bought a GDE 16 Plus dust extractor for my GBH 18V-20 rotary hammer along with the vac and I was over the moon about how well they worked together. I put up some shelves in my home with it last week-end, and there was zero dust to vacuum after drilling the holes (LECA walls). As soon as I was finished, I just knew the money was well spent.
      I guess my PAS 18 Li will only be used for bread crumbs from now on. :)

Dust tip: have a water sprayer handy and spray the dust before you empty it I've not tried it but also as it's wet and dry maybe even suck a bit of water up maybe and possibly mix it in if it doesn't penetrate the dust.... I'll look into anti static coating as well thanks for that!

    I've had this couple years now it's decent the on off button will snap if you're not careful I had to put some screws through the top to fix and the filter needs to be kept clean or it will stop sucking. I was actually watching this video to see how to wash the filter properly so I don't need to buy another that said this is 1st time filter has give up on me. Good bit of kit careful with the button.

    Just bought the GAS18V-3N last November. It is damn powerful for a battery powered shopvac. A little bigger than the comparable Milwaukee cordless vacuum. But, I like this more than the Milwaukee (which doesn't happen often). The built in diffuser is a really nice feature. It doesn't blow your eardrums while running. Be warned though. If you are looking to use this for more than just quick tasks, make sure you have a few 6.0ah batteries. You get roughly 4min of run time for every ah of battery capacity. Great tool and probably the best one I've bought over the last few years.

      @@stanislavvovk6674 Definitely the Bosch. Its got at least the same amount of suction, better attachment management, and a built in diffuser for noise deadening. Nice review, things I’ve learned. You don’t need the filter when using it on wet mode. (You mentioned letting the filter dry)
    As for anti-static, wipe the unit down with tumble dryer sheets. These will break the static and prevent dust from being attracted to your unit.

    • @holzhandwerk_ak

      Thanks. The manual says it’s important to use the filter with wet mode. Haven’t tried it without it therefore.

    Great review. just wondering if you have used it to vacuum fine dust such as plaster dust? If so, did it circulate and dust through the filter/ motor/ exhaust. How well does it perform with wet vacuuming? I assume the filter is washable given it is a wet/ dry vacuum cleaner

    • @holzhandwerk_ak
      @holzhandwerk_ak  9 месяцев назад

      I have. The filter holds back even fine dust but it clogs up, of course.
      It’s also good with water but I would clean everything thoroughly before using it with water. Otherwise you’d have a fine mess inside with water and dust combining into a thick paste. The filter is washable, yes.

    Wondering if the connector will fit most of Bosch tools. I have several 12 and 18 volt tools or do I have to buy extra connectors for that you think? 1,6 m hose? Have you tried it with a circular saw. Wondering if the hose length will be too short? Everything else you explained perfect :-)

    • @holzhandwerk_ak
      @holzhandwerk_ak  5 лет назад +3

      I don’t have that many Bosch tools with a dust connector. It fits the GKT plunge/track saw. But it doesn’t fit the GKS 18V-57 cordless circular saw (whatever they thought making two circular saws with different dimensioned dust connectors). The outer diameter of the connector *on the vac* is 47 mm at the very tip. For a circular saw, the hose would be a little short in most circumstances, I think.
      Hope this helps.

      It’s not a promotion - I paid for it myself ;-) I don't know about the battery. With a 3 Ah battery I would say about 20 min of constant use but it depends on how much material you suck up.
